KP Agro Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KP Agro Korat Co., Ltd, and Syngenta Seeds (Thailand) Limited, announcing collaboration on the development of Thai agri-businesses into world-class producers. The company is committed to supporting sustainable ecosystems to become a Net-Zero organization.There were Mr. Kevin Radunz, Head Seeds Production Operations, APAC, Syngenta, along with executives from both companies witnessing the ceremony.
Mr. Porramate Ingsuwan, CEO of K.P. AGRO KORAT CO., LTD. and K.P. Agro Group revealed after signing the MoU between K.P. Agro Korat and Syngenta Seeds (Thailand), that the parties aim to highlight cooperation in producing the highest quality corn seeds. This is achieved through the seed moisture reduction process and a centralized heating process that uses waste from production as fuel to drive moisture out of the seeds. This is in line with the guidelines of the company’s Zero Waste and Carbon Neutral policy, to upgrade agricultural products distribution both domestically and overseas.
K.P. Agro Korat Co., Ltd. is a unit of K.P. Agro Group, which has subsidiaries based in the central, northern and northeastern regions of Thailand. K.P. Agro Korat, located in Pak Thong Chai, Nakhon Ratchasima, has a current production capacity of 200 metric tons per day, offering corn seeds drying services and corn seeds conditioning services. The company has a plan to increase the production capacity to 500 metric tons per day to support the production plans of Syngenta Seeds (Thailand) Co., Ltd., making this the largest corn seed drying plant in Thailand and ASEAN. The facility is also a key component of Syngenta’s corn seeds supply chain, which has the goal of propelling Thailand to become a food production hub of ASEAN and the world.
